Iced cafe au lait recipe

A cafe au lait is made up of strongly brewed coffee and steamed milk in equal portions. Cool down the coffee, keep the milk cold and add a little ice to enjoy a chilled version to help beat this summer heat. Recipe yields 2 servings.

ICED CAFE AU LAIT
  • 2 1/4 cups cold coffee
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups crushed ice
Directions
Brew coffee and let cool. Mix all ingredients together and serve over ice.

Cook's Notes To keep from watering down your cold coffee drinks by using ice cubes, make a few trays of frozen coffee cubes and store them in a Ziploc bag.
