Microwave pralines recipe

If you are running short on time but still want the rich buttery sweetness of a praline, this recipe will help speed things up a bit.

  • 1 pound light brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecans
In a large microwave safe bowl, combine all ingredients except vanilla and pecans. Stir well to combine and microwave for 13 minutes (if your microwave has lower wattage, you may need to cook up to 20 minutes). Stir vanilla and pecans and stir until mixture begins to cool and become creamy. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Allow to cool completely before eating or storing.
