Parmesan pork roast recipe

This roast is my favorite cold weather meal to serve my friends and family. It is easy to make-just throw everything in your slow cooker. It has an amazing flavor and the meat turns out so wonderfully tender. Be prepared to share this recipe if you make it for anyone outside of your immediate family.

  • 3-4 pound pork roast, cut in half
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons basil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • dash salt
Turn your crockpot on high and place the roast in it. In a medium size bowl, mix all of the remaining ingredients until smooth and pour over top of the roast, turning to coat well. Place lid on crock and cook on high 4-6 hours, until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F.

Cook's Notes
  • You can play with the seasonings in this recipe until you come up with a combination you like
  • This roast can be used to make tasty sandwiches for a party. For a more formal event, serve with a side of mashed potatoes, fresh bread and corn.
