Ah, the cold air is settling in over Southwestern Ohio, which means the kids will be spending more and more time indoors. With all of this time spent inside, cabin fever is sure to set in. Parents will quickly tire of hearing their children cry "Mommy, I'm bored!" and "Daddy, there is nothing to do!". What's a frazzled parent to do? Give your children a set of edible "Tinker Toys". When they are done playing, they will already have a snack on hand.

Supplies
  • bag of pretzel sticks
  • bag of pretzel rods
  • bag of large marshmallows
  • bag of mini marshmallows
Directions
Give each child an equal amount of pretzels and marshmallows and show them how to use the snacks to create objects. Your children can make animals, people, buildings and more using just their imaginations and snack foods most likely already in your home. For even more fun, purchase a set of edible markers and colored marshmallows.
